We hit the jackpot of garbage today!

It's not often you happen upon a spot that is in such need of environmental rehab, but we found one today- Join us March 27th when plan on tackling this huge enviro-crisisWe had a great morning with Ms. Curcio's kids from Harding and Bassick and picked up a dozen tires and 12 bags of trash out to Stewart B. McKinney National Wildlife Preserve. But just across the border of the Refuge only accessible by private land, there lies enough trash to start our own little island of garbage like the one in the Atlantic Gyre.

We need to fix that- Calling all volunteers! We need hundreds of bodies, and bags, and gloves and more to tackle the HUGE pile of trash that sits just feet from the National Wildlife Refuge

We have changed plans once again. At 11AM Saturday March 27, we will descend on one of the most unaccessible places in Stratford and Bridgeport, a veritable no-mans land that resembles a demilitarized zone and wreaks of petroleum between the Park City and Town for All Seasons at the end of Long Beach Boulevard.

Remember we're kicking off a week-long event beginning at CCB on Saturday with the Mayor of Bridgeport and will be attacking all forms of trash that washed ashore in last weekends storm at sites from Long Beach to Ash Creek and will end our week at the most abused shores we've seen yet in the Greater Bridgeport Area.

Please lend a hand and do what you can to help us protect our greatest natural resource!
