Help Us Build a Kayak Fleet at CCB

As you may know, CCB is dedicated to providing children from the Greater Bridgeport Area with an opportunity to learn about and enjoy Long Island Sound regardless of financial ability to pay. Many of the children we serve have never had the opportunity to get on Long Island Sound and it is hope to expand their horizons and introduce them to the many benefits boating may offer a child including team work, problem solving skills and self esteem.

We would love to offer the children of the Greater Bridgeport Area the fabulous sport of kayaking. We are asking you, your friends and family to dig into your basements, garages and back yards and see if you might have a sit-on-top kayak and/or paddle that you are no longer using and might be willing todonate to the CCB Kayak program. It does not need to be clean or evenwater tight. Our skilled staff can repair and scrub with the best of them. We will even pick it up at your home and if need be pull it out from under the bushes that have consumed it over the summer. We would prefer itto be a sit-on-top as they are much easier for new-bee kayakers to learn on.
