Connecticut Light Houses: A growing list of everything about lighthouses from around the world
The CCB Blog http://connecticutcommunityboating.blogspot.com/

Team CHANCE is a college and high school sailing team that will compete in keelboat regattas to raise money to help get more kids on the water. In addition, members of Team CHANCE will work in partnership with established community sailing centers to help provide the opportunity for any child to sail.

The SeaSquirts: A lifetime of sailing begins with that first day on the water and we believe a little structure, a lot of fun and a taste of salt air goes along way. Your son or daughter will prepare to join the Sea Scouts of America when they come of age with this precursor to the Boy Scouts of America Explorer Program. We’ll model our weekly meetings after the traditions and customs that are more than 100 years old with an eye to enrolling your child in our home Sea Scout ship #101 when they turn 13.

Ages: 8-12

 The Sea Scouts:

In Partnership with the Boy Scouts of America, Connecticut Community Boating is home to Ship 101, a division of the explorer program for boys and girls ages 13 and up. Your child will learn the traditions of sailing, seamanship, honor, character and being a good neighbor in the classic traditions of Scouting while learning leadership skills and preparing for life after highschool, including college and/or the military. We’re very pleased to host Ship 101 this year and have a ton on our agenda for this year including obtaining safe boating certificates, preparing for 6-pack licenses, level 1 sailing certification, skiing, camping and more.  Our weekly meetings take place Wednesdays from 7-9 and will run year round. For more information, please check with our staff and ship leaders.

"There is nothing more worth doing than messing about in boats!"

Dennis Conner, Jacques Cousteau or even Admiral Nimitz all had a chance to explore the waters on their way to success in life. And we believe every kid has a salty sailor in them and it is our intention to put the wind in their sails on a course for success! We offer a complete array of programming for kids including kayaking, fishing, swimming, small boat sailing, keel boating, and marine exploration. Time on the water can open your child's world to a host of benefits including team work, self reliance and problem solving. It is our greatest joy to share the world of boating with a child!
